Roger Gracie Gomes is a 3rd degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner. Roger was awarded his black belt by his cousin Renzo Gracie at the behest of Carlos Gracie, Jr. during his training in New York in 2003. Roger Gracie is the founder and head instructor at The Roger Gracie Academy located in London, England. His notable Black belt promotions include Raymond Stevens (judoka), Nick Gregoriades & Kywan Gracie Behring.

Roger is known for his application of pressure the whole time, in all positions, with the intent of keeping his opponent in constant discomfort. Some of his noted accomplishments include:
- 2004 ADCC Gold in his Weight and Absolute- submitting 8 opponents, a first in ADCC history!
- In his first MMA fight, he submitted Ron Waterman via armbar- the first time Ron had been submitted professionally!
- 14 Time Mudial Champion
- He set the record for open weight wins in the black belt division at Worlds (3 consecutive)
